Joining an Event

I can’t enter an event or join a room. What should I do?

You may be using an incompatible or outdated browser. Try using a different browser or updating your current browser. The most common browser that gives us trouble is the native Facebook browser. You may not even know Facebook has a browser! If you've joined us via a Facebook link, try copying the link and pasting it into another browser.

I joined an event, but I don't see any videos? How do I talk to people?

You are probably in the event overview. To view a presentation or join a video meeting in progress, you will need to join a room. Look at the "Rooms" area. Click the "Join" button for the room you would like to join. You can see the topic, if the room has one and other people who are already in the room. If there is no room yet, you can start one yourself. Just click the "Create a Room" button and follow the prompts.

Audio

I'm in a room, but I don’t have any sound. What should I do?

Check the following:

‍

Is the person you are trying to hear muted?
Is the sound turned on on your device with the volume up enough?
Is your browser muted? (Look for a mute symbol in your browser tab)
Check your Versatackle settings (look for the settings button on the overview). If there are options for audio inputs and outputs, do you have the right ones selected? Update as needed as save.
Reload the page and then re-enter conversation
Try a different browser or device

How old do you need to be to create a Versatackle account?

You need to be at least 18 years old to have an account, but people of any ages can join events they are invited to.

I'm not in the United States, can I create an account?

Yes! You can create an account and join events from anywhere in the world.

Do I need to create an account to join an event?

‍

‍

No. You can join events for free without creating an account or logging in, as long as you have the event link.

How do I create a Versatackle account?

‍

Sign up here or click the "Sign Up" link at the top of the page. You will need to enter a valid email address and create a password. You will receive an email to verify your email address. If you do not receive it, please check your email spam folder. Please click the link in the email to verify your email. Once you have completed the sign up, you will be able to log in to join events and edit your profile, but you will need to upgrade to a host account to create events yourself.

Hosting Events

How do I host events?

‍

After logging in, click the button “upgrade to host events.” Follow the instructions to upgrade your account. Go to events when you are logged in and click “Create New Event.” You will be able to set the time and date for your event, see a link to join the event, get a secure link to share with your guests, and see RSVPs.

Is there a limit to how many events I can host?

‍

No. You can join events for free without creating an account or logging in, as long as you have the link.
