Q: I can’t enter an event or join a conversation. What should I do?

A: You may be using an incompatible or outdated browser. Try using a different browser or updating your current browser.

Q: I am in a conversation, but I don’t have any sound. What should I do?

A: Check the following:

  • Is the person you are trying to hear muted?
  • Is the sound turned on on your device with the volume up enough?
  • Is your browser muted? (Look for a mute symbol in your browser tab)
  • Check your Versatackle settings (look for the settings button on the overview). If there are options for audio inputs and outputs, do you have the right ones selected? Update as needed as save.
  • Reload the page and then reenter conversation
  • Try a different browser or device

Q: I am creating an event on my phone and I keep getting an error about the time/date selection.

A: We are sorry about that! You're experiencing a known bug that we are in the process of fixing. Currently, you can access events on your smart phone, but you may need a computer to create or edit events. Thanks for your patience!

Q: I am creating an event and the time keeps being off by 8 hours after I save it. I have tried editing, but it keeps being incorrect!

A: We are sorry about that! You're experiencing a known bug that we are in the process of fixing. The work around is to add 8 hours to the time before you save. The time displayed should then be correct. Thanks for your patience!

Q: What does an account with Versatackle include?

A: A basic account allows you to log in and see events you have RSVPd to. This is free. A host account allows you to create video chat events online, invite others to your event, and view RSVPs. You can subscribe for a host account for $25 per month, or you can join on a month-to-month basis by paying what you want. You are welcome to join for free, or pay us what you think the service is currently worth for you. Your guests can join your event for free without creating an account.

Q: How do I create a Versatackle account?

A: Sign up here or by clicking the "Sign Up" link at the top of the page. You will need to enter an email address and create a password. You will also need to confirm that you are over 18 years old and live in the United States (we are researching opening up to other countries). You will get an email to confirm your email address. If you do not see it, please check your email spam folder. Once you have signed up, you will be able to log in to join events, but you will need to upgrade to a host account to create events yourself.

Q: How do I host events?

A: After logging in, click the button “upgrade to host events.” Follow the instructions to upgrade your account. If you enter any amount besides 0 in the payment box, you will be able to securely pay using PayPal. After payment, if applicable, you can now create events. Go to events when you are logged in and click “Create New Event.” You will be able to set the time and date for your event, see a link to join the event, get a secure link to share with your guests, and see RSVPs.

Q: How much does a Versatackle account cost?

A: You can subscribe to Versatackle for $25, beginning with a free trial month. You are also able to use Versatackle on a month to month basis for an amount of your choice, including for free. For events larger than 50 people, please contact customer support at info@versatackle.com. As we add more products and features, we may add more package options. We will keep you informed and you will never be charged more than you have agreed to.

Q: Is there a limit to how many events I can host?

A: A host membership is limited to 10 events per month. If you need to host more, please contact customer support at info@versatackle.com.

Q: Can I create a recurring event?

Q: I don’t live in the United States, can I create an account?

A: Currently, accounts are limited to the United States, but we are in the process of opening up membership internationally. You can join an event from anywhere in the world.
